REAL MOVERS USE REAL MOVING TRUCKS.

When selecting a mover, most people don’t even know to ask about the type of trucks a company uses. Yet a truck is the most important piece of equipment a company has – and the one most likely to affect the quality and cost of your move for better or worse!

Think about it. If a plumber showed up at your house with a set of little plastic wrenches, would you even let him in the door? Yet when you choose a mover who uses inferior delivery trucks instead of premium moving trucks, that’s essentially what you’re doing!

The delivery trucks hourly movers use don’t have the proper equipment to protect your belongings, so you can expect to see more damages. They also don’t have enough doors to load your items quickly or enough room to store a lot of your belongings. Without these essential features, your move will take longer – and cost you a lot more money! Who wants that?

NO ONE HAS BETTER TRUCKS THAN MOOVERS.

At Moovers, our high-grade, professional trucks offer distinct advantages over everyone else:

We only use powerful, premium moving trucks. 95% of movers use the wrong kind of truck for your move. That never happens with Moovers. Our professional moving trucks are regularly cleaned, fumigated and maintained so they are up to absolutely any moving job! Their best features include:

  • Large cubic foot capacity.  Our customers are surprised to learn that hourly movers use delivery trucks instead of moving trucks because they are cheaper, smaller and require more trips – making you pay more. People often don’t notice a truck’s size until they start wondering why their move took so long and cost so much. Most movers have box sizes of just 800 - 1,000 cubic feet – far inadequate for the task!

Moovers only uses premium 2,200 cubic foot trucks that are fully equipped to carry as many of your items as possible, as safely as possible. Our trucks are 26 feet long with 8 feet widths and 9 feet heights inside the box. We also have additional attic space above the cab that small delivery trucks just don’t have. Unlike smaller trucks, we have the space and features needed to make sure your items are always protected!

  • Low floor height. Our trucks are specifically designed to have a floor height that is closest to the ground while remaining safe. Low floor heights make belongings faster and easier to load, shaving time off of your move.  To achieve the right height, we equip our premium trucks with lo-profile tires and make sure the box is mounted as close to the chassis as possible.

  • Walkboards, NOT Liftgates. Liftgates look like they do a lot of work, which is why hourly companies like to use them so much. But the truth is, their slow up and down motion just adds time to your move. When liftgates are used, they actually increase your move time by 33%, letting hourly movers inflate your bill. Most residential moves don’t need liftgates anyway because few things weigh enough to require them.

These smaller trucks also don’t have the room to carry a standard 12’ x 30’ movers ramp, so they often use pull out ramps that are the worst possible option. To accommodate them, the truck body must be moved 6” higher off the ground, increasing the floor height. Pull-out ramps are also too narrow for most uses. They can’t be used from side doors and they lack the 1,500 lb capacity of a standard mover’s ramp.

  • Plenty of side and rear doors. To move bulky household items, movers need a lot of side and rear doors. The small delivery trucks hourly movers use don’t have them because they were never designed for moving . Even when movers use freight trailers, their lack of extra doors make loading and unloading take longer.

Our trucks are equipped with plenty of doors that are tall enough and wide enough for most anything you need moved.  These multiple points of entry let us complete your move much faster. And unlike delivery trucks with rollup doors, our premium trucks only use swing-open rear doors. These doors require less maintenance, are more weather-tight and better prevent damage to your furniture from cables.

  • Cargo control. All Moovers trucks use industry-standard “punch post” construction with logistic posts (E track) built into the walls and side doors. This lets us use more of the available box space while giving us more tie-off points and smoother surfaces to better protect your belongings from damage. Smaller trucks that hourly companies use lack the vertical recessed and evenly-spaced logistic posts needed for decking or shoring beams. Moovers trucks always have the proper equipment for securing your load so we can prevent damages and decrease your load and unload time.

GPS tracking. All Moovers trucks have onboard GPS tracking systems that let us pinpoint the exact location of your shipment in real-time. It lets us print trip reports showing the complete route your shipment traveled that day. Our state-of-the-art system also helps us keep our fleet of trucks well maintained by generating regularly scheduled maintenance alerts. Well-maintained trucks mean we can keep our emissions down, too, so even the environment’s a winner!  Go green!

GPR navigation. All Moovers trucks have onboard GPS navigation systems so we can take the shortest routes for every move - and never get lost! That keeps us on time for every move. The shorter trips also let us pass the savings in fuel and labor on to you. Even the environment wins with Moovers – shorter trips let us reduce our emissions! Go green!

Nationwide fleet support. Our Nationwide Fleet Support connects us with 22,000 well-equipped mechanics and service providers so our fleet is operating at full throttle 99.9% of the time. The network is available 24/7, year-round. If a truck has a blowout or mechanical problem, our network of qualified professionals can have it up and running within a couple of hours so your move is back on track fast!
